Having heard a cut-off radio call from Sente Pola, he ordered Feena to stay put as he sent troops to investigate the goings-on. Unfortunately for him, the crew of the Redshift Runner managed to escape with Sente's body before his troops could apprehend her and her allies.

Captain Velkar later caught up with the crew on Nar Shaddaa, where he framed them for the murder of two Hutts and the destruction of a fancy nightclub. He left without any further confrontation, never engaging the crew directly.
